|Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism –Colossians 3:23-24
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have a different complaint about my job everyday. I wake up, and I struggle with mustering up enough motivation to go into work with a positive attitude. I am sure many of you can relate to this to a certain extent. You may feel this way about school, Church, an organization that you are part of, your daily chores, etc. Whenever we feel this way, we only do just enough to get by, thinking that we only have to please man.
God is urging you today to look at the big picture because, ultimately, the work you do is for Him. He is imploring you to do everything with all of your heart as you would to him and not to man. If you live your life this way, you will notice that your attitude towards just about everything would change a great deal. If you were to become a lazy and unreliable worker, it would reflect on who you are in Christ, and you will ultimately be repaid for it. When you call yourself a Christian, you are held to a higher standard because everyone expects you to reflect Christ in all of your undertakings. Being a Christian should make you more responsible. If you fail to live up to this standard, it will be credited to you as a disservice to God, and you will be repaid for your wrong.
I challenge you today brethren to go into your daily responsibilities with a positive attitude. I challenge you to do everything your hand finds to do with all of your heart so that you may win the praise of God and also of man. God promises to reward those who work with this kind of attitude. You will be judged by your service to God! Remember that EVERYTHING you do on the face of this earth is part of your service to God.
Stay blessed and spread the word.
