|Ö, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.~Proverbs 2:1-5
I donít even feel the need to write anymore, this is very self-explanatory!!! I just want to urge all of us as Christians to always remember that relying on our strength or wisdom is absolutely worthless. God is telling you to seek him, to call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and he will gladly answer you.
As an example, I was dealing with some things a few weeks back and although I prayed, I didnít wait on the Lord for a response; I ended up making a big mess out of everything and getting hurt and hurting people I cared about along the way. All I had to do was say God please help me; please instruct me on what to do! My mind is alert; my heart is receptive, I am waiting on you to shed your wisdom on this situation. I asked for help, but I still did what I wanted to do anyway. It wasnít until I had messed everything up that I finally did what I was supposed to do, and like magic, it just went away. I thank God because he gave me a second chance.
So brethren, when you find yourself in a tight spot, just call on God and watch how he fixes everything right before your eyes. Rely on Godís wisdom and if you donít think you have gotten a response, continue to search for it and donít stop till you find it. You may find it awkward to ask for God's wisdom in certain situations, but you have to seek him until talking to him and hearing from him becomes second nature. Many times you seek God's help, you conclude that he is just not responding, when in reality he has infact responded, but you are not comfortable with his response. You can choose to ignore him, but I can assure you that sooner or later, you will find yourself begging him for a second chance to heed!
Stay blessed and spread the word.
