|I encourage you all to read about Paul and the shipwreck and the storm that caused it in Acts 27:13-26.
If you read this excerpt figuratively, you can see Christians going through the same thing everyday. We are the ship, and constantly, we are faced with different storms of different magnitudes. If not dealt with quickly and appropriately, the storms get stronger and could eventually knock us down and leave us completely wrecked.
‘After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage or loss. But now I urge you to keep up the courage, because none of you will be lost, only the ship with be destroyed.”’ ~vs. 21-22
Like the men the in above verse, we are usually warned, but because of the carnal natures of our minds, we don’t listen to the warning signals. But take heart, life still continues after that; we may get bruised or have scars, but your spirit will not be lost if you just keep courage and trust God.
Ultimately, trusting God is what it comes down to. Trials and tribulations are certainly bound to come, but the level of your trust in God determines how much of an impact they are going to have on you. God will never put you in a situation that you cannot handle, and if you only trust in that, you will be all right. Trust God and follow the right path on the first try and you will certainly avoid the eye of the storm and would have spared yourselves damage or loss. Trust God so that you do not get shipwrecked. Trust God! Trust God!
Stay blessed and spread the word.
