|I’m going to tell you a story about a man. This man was into drugs (selling and using), he had a different woman every night, and he cursed more than a sailor…. He did everything that you could imagine. One day, he was standing on the corner like he did every night, selling people a one way ticket to death, when a black car with tinted windows rolled up. As the car neared him, the windows slowly rolled down and a revolver crept out and Pow! Pow! Pow!, bullets came flying out like the words of an angry man. The first one hit this man in the shoulder, the second inches away from his heart, and the third in the neck. Within mere seconds, he was on the ground bleeding to his death. I stood there watching in awe as the car quickly pulled away.
What just happened? O my gosh! What do I do? Who do I call? Tears rolled down my eyes as my brain went mad trying to figure out what to do. Before I could even take another breath, a man came out of no where and picked the dying man off the ground. The dying man wrestled, as he blurred out the words, “leave me alone,” “let me die”. I thought to myself, “why is he fighting, all this nice man wants to do is help”. The man continued to fight, but the nice man will not let him go. Eventually, the dying man gave in, he stopped fighting. “What happened? Is he dead?” I quietly asked myself as I walked away until I couldn’t see these men any longer. I walked back home wandering about what had just happened.
The next day, I walked back to the scene of this heinous crime, and to my surprise, the dying man was standing there in perfect health. I cautiously walked up to him, and in a shaky voice, I asked him what happened last night, and he stared at me and smiled. I continued to stare at him as I eagerly awaited his answer, and he looked back at me and said “I had to give up my life before he would give me a second chance”. He handed something to me and walked away. I looked down at what I had in my hand, and it was a paper read, “If you died today, where do you think you will go?”
So brethren, I am now asking you today to think about that question, if you died today, where will you go?
Stay blessed and spread the word.
