PRAY WITHOUT CEASING
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, O LORD; teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word. Psalms 119:13-16

I always wondered what Paul meant when he asked the Thessalonians in chapter 5, verse 17 of his first letter to them, to pray without ceasing. How are we supposed to get anything done if we are praying ceaselessly? How are we supposed to realistically do this? I thought to myself years ago. It wasnít until after I read the verse above that I realized that Paul was calling them to live a life of prayer, meaning to always be in constant communication with God.

The more we meditate on the word of God like David did, the more conscious we are of his presence, and the more conscious we are of this, the better we hear from him. This is one of the most important qualities any Christian can ever have. When you can hear from God, you have absolutely nothing to worry about because he orders your steps and if you follow his instructions, there is nothing but blessing in store for you.

God loves it when we involve him in everything we do; he loves it when we keep our minds stayed on him. He wants us to strive to get back to the way things were in the time of Adam and Eve when there was constant communion between God and man. Our sins made us lose that privilege, but Jesus' death got that back for us and it is time we all started utilizing it. Jesusí death for me definitely was not in vain, and I hope it wasnít for you either.

Make God you best friend today, make the Holy Trinity the most important thing to you. Replace those fears and worries that you constantly think about with thoughts of God and thatís how you meditate on him. Let him in today. Involve him in your every day lifeÖlet him into your head, let him into your heart; let him into your soul so that you can be more like him. Pray without ceasing. Live a lifestyle of prayer...become a man after Godís own heart today.

Stay blessed and spread the word.
