|…I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” – Isaiah 6:1-3|
How incredible Isaiah must have felt to have had the Lord reveal himself to him in such a dramatic way! God longs to do the same with you! He wants to reveal himself to you, he wants you to know him, and he wants you to love him. He is not satisfied with just having a superficial relationship with you where you only talk to him when you need something.
God says that he has engraved you on the palm of his hands; he has numbered every strand of hair are on your head, and he even knows you better than you know yourself. His involvement with you started long before you were born and nothing about you can escape his concern, no person, no god, no place, no time, nothing! (Read Psalm 139). How wonderful does knowing this make you feel? God longs to feel this way about you as well.
He wants an intimate relationship with you. He wants you to know him like he knows you…. He is begging you to seek him. He is yearning to bare himself to you. He has given you his diary (the Bible), and all you have to do is get to know him through his own words, and the more you do this, the more vivid he becomes to you. The more you seek him in his words, the more he reveals himself in your life. Many prophets were called throughout the entire old testament, but only a select few experienced what Isaiah saw and felt, only a few were personally called like that. Isaiah’s entire being was so focused on God and every fiber of his existence was in tune with God, and because of this, he experienced a deeper relationship with his creator.
Are you ready to experience a deeper relationship with your creator? I challenge you to submerge yourself in his word and meditate on him. I challenge you to spend more time with him. I dare you to seek him. I dare you to be intimate with him. Do you dare to love him?
Stay blessed and spread the word.
