|But he said to me, ďMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.Ē Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christís power may rest on me. That is why, for Christís sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. ~2 Corinthians 12:9-10
This verse should reassure you that you have nothing to worry about. The devil tries to lure us away from God when we are weak and vulnerable. Remember how you felt when you had a lot of bills to pay, but you didnít have enough funds to pay them? Remember how you felt when that person you have been in love with for so long suddenly decides that he/she wants to live life without you in it? Remember when you lost that person that meant so much to you to death? Remember when those planes crashed into the World Trade Center? Remember what you felt when hurricanes destroyed those homes and killed little children? How did you feel when all of these happened? Were you angry? Were you sad? Did you question what Godís plans for you were? Did you feel weak? Did you feel yourself drifting away from God?
Iím sure we have all been there at some point in our lives. I definitely know that I have, but because I decided to dedicate my life to Christ, those situations only drew me closer to him. When situations such as the ones above happen to you, the devil just stands there anxious and waiting for you to give him a foothold. But God is telling you that his power is made perfect in your weakness!!! He is telling you that you donít have to bear the burden alone, just give it to him. When Christ says that you are forgiven, unload the guilt! When he says you are protected, let go of your fear! When he says you are valuable, believe him! And when he says that you are provided for, STOP WORRYING!!!
His grace is sufficient for you. Rejoice in him at all times and in all situations. Let his name be glorified in your weakness. When the world expects you to be depressed and sad, SURPRISE THEM and be uplifted and happy. Give your worries to God and he will take care of you, he will never let good people down ĖPsalm 55:22. He is our burden bearer. He was born to take our burdens away, so why are you holding on to it? Let go and Let God. In every situation, rejoice and never ever question God!! (Remember the story of Job???) Stand strong and be people of faith.
Stay blessed and spread the word.
