|"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5
Have you ever handed someone a blank check? What was this personís relationship to you? How long had you known this person? What made you trust him/her person?
Trusting God is the same way. You are giving him a blank check and trusting that he will write the correct amount on it and do what is in your best interest. I am sure that in order for us to trust a person, we have to know them, love them, and really have faith in them. King Solomon is urging you to seek out that kind of relationship with God today. He is telling you to get to know God, to love him and to have faith in him.
Trust the Lord with all of your decisions, not matter how miniscule you think they are. Trust that he has your best interest at heart and delights in ordering your steps and directing your path in his righteousness. Trust that he wants to walk hand in hand with you through the corridors of life. Trust that he longs to show and give you his perfect will so that you do not make the wrong choices and get hurt. Trust that he wants to be involved in every aspect of you life. He longs to be your father, brother, best friend and most trusted companion.
How well do you know God? How much do you love him? How much do you trust him? Do you think you can acknowledge him in all of your ways? Do you believe in your heart that you can trust him well enough to write him a blank check right now? I dare you to try today! I dare you to make a commitment to completely trusting God.
Stay blessed and spread the word.
