ALL WORDS & NO HEART
The Lord says: “These people come near me with their mouth and honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up of rules taught by men. Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.” –Isaiah 29:13-14

For a moment, I want you to reflect on your life and your relationship with God. I want you to really search your heart and on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the least, how would you rate your knowledge of who God is? Your relationship with God? And then, your service to Him? How would someone else rate you on those? How do you think God would rate you? It is very important that you be completely honest with yourself.

How high or low are you numbers? What do they mean to you? How do they make you feel? Is there anywhere that you could use some improvement?

I was talking to my father over the weekend about a homosexual pastor in New York that performs gay marriages. This man considers himself to be a minister of God, and he preaches out of the Bible, but he still believes that it is okay to be homosexual. I am not here to condemn anyone, but I can only write what God has put on my heart to write.

There are so many Christians today that like this pastor believe that they can still be Christians while still living in sin. Many believe that they can still be Christians while still indulging in premarital sex, drugs, drunkenness, etc. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 tells us otherwise; “Do you no know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders not thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Why have we so cheapened the word Christian? Why have we cheapened the blood that was slain for our sins? Why?

I am not here to condemn anyone, but do not be fooled, NARROW IS THE GATE THAT LEADS TO HEAVEN, AND ONLY A FEW FIND IT. Do you think the numbers from your rating will get you through that narrow gate? Mediocre Christians are not going to find it; “Christians” are not going to find it; sinners are not going to find it; hypocrites are not going to find it. What are you doing to ensure that you find it? God doesn’t want you lip service anymore! He wants you to draw near to him with your heart, with your service, with your worship, and with your spirit.

There is no such thing as cheap grace! What does the word Christianity mean to you? You can’t prove that you are a Christian by just talking the talk nor can you prove to be one by what you do. It is by who you are and who God considers you to be. You can fool the world, but you can never fool God because he knows you even better than yourself. Who do you think God considers you to be?

God is calling you to turn your hearts back to him. Don’t just talk the talk and walk the walk, have the heart! Your service to God is not only based on how you ACT around other Christians or what you say to the world, it is about what is in your heart and what you do when you think no one is watching. God is watching! Turn back to God! The end times are here, and that gate is still narrow. Turn your hearts back to God and live the life of a righteous God-fearing Christians like you were born to do. Do whatever it takes to ensure that you will get in through that narrow gate.

Stay blessed and spread the word.
